Zabrinski – Bojacá

I discovered this lovely route through the high desert to the west of Bogotá completely by accident, when I took a wrong turn one morning and didn’t realise until the scenery was just too beautiful to turn back. The rolling dirt road takes you from the start of the road down to La Mesa, across to Bojacá, a picturesque colonial town near Bogotá. The only real challenge is a 2km section of deep sand as you traverse the high part of the desert. The ride itself is fairly short, but to get to the start and back from Bogotá is about 30km each way.
